Move In Faith

Welcome to 2019!

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me talk about my affirmations and more specifically the book that I have been reading, The Secret. I started with affirmations in 2018 when I made my vision board but, as the year went by I began practicing them even more. I have affirmations posted all over my bathroom wall.

Sidenote: When I first started with affirmations I knew that they needed to be posted where they can be seen every day (as we see them and read them they begin to manifest). But, I am a very private person. I don't really share much about what I am working on for myself. So, I did not want to post them up anywhere where visitors could read them. However, eventually I was convicted...what was more important? What I needed to manifest in my life or what others thought about it? Definitely, what I needed to happen in my life!! It was a tough decision but I am grateful that I put them up and I just pray it may encourage any visitors I might have. It has become something I continuously add to now. So, I say that to encourage you not to be ashamed to speak things over your life and doing it in whatever way works for you.

Okay, back to what I was saying. "Write the vision and make it plain" has been one of my favorite scriptures since the day that I heard it and that has been the basis of my vision boards and my affirmations.

"I will stand like a guard and watch. I will wait to see what the Lord will say to me. I will wait and learn how he answers my questions. The Lord answered me, 'Write down what I show you. Write it clearly on a sign so that the message will be easy to read.' This message is about a special time in the future. This message is about the end, and it will come true. Just be patient and wait for it. That time will come; it will not be late. This message cannot help those who refuse to listen to it, but those who are good will live because they believe it." - Habakkuk 2:1-4, ERV

What I really want this post to be about today is 1. Starting to make affirmations and speaking things over your present and future. 2. Make the connection between writing the vision, believing your vision, and moving in faith (doing the work).

I encourage everyone to read The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. The book is basically about the impact that your thoughts and words have on what your life looks like. It is an awesome book and really changes the way that you can influence the power of God's universe to bring the things to you that you desire.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." - Proverbs 18:21

So, now that you have made your affirmations it is time to start your movement.

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." - James 2:26, KJV

It is great to speak that you are rich but you can't get rich and call in to work every day! There has to be some work done. Your business cannot flourish if your ideas just sit in a document on your computer. What can you do now to move that vision into motion? Get to work!

Lastly, but most important you have to believe in what you are speaking.

I guarantee that you won't get very far if you are speaking the affirmations, doing the work, but believing that it is all for nothing. You have to truly believe it in your heart, soul, mind, body, and spirit that all of the things that you desire will come into fruition. There is no time for doubt. How will you ever get anyone else to buy into your vision if you're not buying into it yourself?

So, here is my challenge for you. Dream BIG! Nope, BIGGER! Throw doubt away, burn it. I heard that if you can figure out how to do it without God's help you're not dreaming big enough. To see that over half of the things on my vision board for 2018 happened has really thrown this into full gear for me. The only thing that can stop me is my own negative thoughts. I am going to leave you with these last two scriptures and you can let them be the first affirmations that you use:

"If you decide to do something, it will be successful. And your future will be very bright." - Job 22:28, ERV
"Remember, I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don't be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9, ERV

Do you accept the challenge? Comment below "I accept" and one affirmation you are willing to commit to this month!
